Day 2-

We woke up early and had a delicious breakfast of yogurt, granola, and fruit. We started off by fueling up for our first day because we had a big day ahead of us. Marissa was the skipper of the day on Monet 1, and they were the first boat to de-dock. On Vivaldi, Ryan led the crew through a perfect de-docking. Ellie was the skipper of the day on Sao Jorge and did a great job steering the boat off the docks and through the channel.  The crew of all the boats learned how to raise the sails on both the main and the jib. It was a perfect day for sailing, the sun came out and the breeze was perfect. Then we arrived at Cooper Island after learning how to catch the mooring ball. We went ashore for some beach fun and the Open Water divers completed the knowledge reviews and their swim test. We played jackpot off of the beach, then enjoyed some Caribbean refreshments. After some time ashore, we went back to boats and learned how to take boat showers. Dinner was up next. On Sao Jorge, Sonya and Diane cooked some amazing burritos. Then it was time for a clean-up, because as we all know, a clean boat is definitely a happy boat. The boat meeting was fun. We all filled out our ships log and ate some delicious cookies. We realized how important teamwork is going to be for the next few days!!! It was another great night with cool breezes and clear skies!!
