Charlie 3 Trip update Day 14- Eric Von Ashwege, Program Director
Everyone was up at 5am this morning, after spending much of the night talking and socializing with each other. It was a bittersweet morning for staff and students, as nearly everyone was on a 5:45 taxi ride to the ferry, which would take them to St. Thomas and their flight back home. Those not on the ferry were driven to the airport on Tortola. Students were excited to be heading home, but sad for leaving their friends that they met while at Sail Caribbean. As students took off from the airport, they could look down at the small chain of islands that make up the British Virgin Islands, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some of their favorite spots we visited. Many told their Captains that they would be back next year – we at Sail Caribbean eagerly await their return to new fleets next summer!
While on program students dove with professional photographer Armando Jenik, and photos of the dive are available for purchase!
