Charlie 2 Trip Update Day 20 – Luke, Mate
Today was a glorious day for both crews, starting with a 7:30 a.m. wake-up and good hearty breakfast. After their breakfast they did a deep clean of the boats in preparation of docking later today; the boats looked spotless on the mooring balls at Marina Cay. After the boats were clean the crews both took one last dip in the ocean. After doing some last flips/dives the crews prepared for their final sail. The boats sailed with a few reefs in the sail to Hodges Creek and had a great time. After getting to the docks they split from the boats for a bit to take some showers/look in the dive shop for some shirts to possibly buy. After, they returned to eat a pizza dinner.
One Sail Caribbean tradition at the end of program is to perform skits about some favorite memories from the trip. Students gathered at the end of the docks to perform their skits and receive awards. Then when all was said and done both crews returned to their boats for one last boat meeting and to start writing their plane letters. Tomorrow is departure day for both crews, so everyone is ready to rest up before a day of travel. Goodnight, Venture and Buoyant Asset!
