Bravo 2 Trip Update Day 20
It was Bravo’s last day on the water, beginning with a 7:30 a.m. wake-up and breakfast. Then it was time to do a deep clean of the boats in preparation of docking at Hodges later today. When the boats were deemed spotless, the students went for a final swim, leaping off the boats into the water. All boats had a great final sail to Hodges Creek, the strong winds necessitating a couple reefs in the mainsail. Dockings at Hodges were a bit tricky due to wind, but with a little patience all boats were securely tied up by early afternoon.
The remainder of the afternoon was spent cleaning boats, gathering personal gear, and hanging out with friends. In the evening the crews enjoyed a pizza dinner and Sail Caribbean’s traditional end-of-program skits. With tomorrow being departure day, we all gathered on home boats in the evening to write plane letters and spend a last couple hours hanging out.
