Tango Trip Update Day 16 – Fray, Program Director
Today we woke up at Long Bay where we had a nice, slow paced morning. After eating breakfast and cleaning up the boat we enjoyed some swim and relaxation time, and Lily took everyone ashore to play on the beach. Once the mechanic finished up everyone else on shore headed back to the boat to start the departure check list so we could up anchor and start making our way to Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor.
We enjoyed a leisurely upwind sail towards Virgin Gorda where we received instructions on where to dock, followed by a docking talk for the crew. Our skipper of the day, Adam, led us through one of the smoothest dockings of the summer. Great job! Once all lines were made fast we did a small clean up, then got out phones to call home and tell our families about our adventures. After phones were turned in we started showers and dinner prep. Tonight was pick-your-own-dinner so Maddie went to the super market with Fray,where they decided on Sponge Bob Mac N Cheese with corn (tonight’s dinner was very yellow).
After the dishes were cleaned up we had a quick boat meeting, then we met up with the Foxtrot and Sieara programs for a talent/no talent show. Adam and Dylan got up to do a funny skit where they poked fun at Marwan, Lily and Fray. It was the best kind of night — filled with friends and lots of laughter!
