Charlie 2 Day 11 Trip Update – Jon, Student

Today the group of Emergency First Response students had a wonderful time learning about all the ways to help others in need.  The classroom was located at the VISAR facility (VISAR is the Virgin Island Search and Rescue).  The class was taught by Vicky, a very cool lady from the Sail Caribbean Dive Staff.  She taught us all the skills necessary to be a proper Emergency First Responder.

Everyone had an awesome time getting certified.  We watched some crazy videos which had some unbelievable scenarios in them.  And we all got to see one of the VISAR boats which was extremely high tech and very cool.  At the end of the class, when everyone had passed the course, everybody gave a loud cheer to commemorate their success.  Now we just have to wait for our certification card to show up!

Afterwards we were trucked over to Long Bay where we had our night dive!  The dive was at the “tip of scrub”.  And on the dive we saw 5 sea turtles and a couple of eels!  Everyone went to sleep feeling very satisfied and accomplished.
