Foxtrot 2 Trip Update Day 3 – Emma, Program Director
All of the students headed out on the dive boat early this morning. For the Advanced Open Water divers there was a wreck dive on the RMS Rhone while Antoine and Stephan did the Discover SCUBA Diving class and the non-divers had a chance to snorkel. Once back on docks it was time to prepare ourselves and the boat for departure. We prepped lunch and talked about how to get the boat off the dock: Van Gogh left first with Manuel at the helm for a great de-docking. Stephan, the birthday boy, was up next and he followed with another extremely smooth maneuver
Once off docks we sailed downwind towards Jost Van Dyke. Here we picked up a mooring ball at Diamond Cay in time for showers and dinner. Breakfast for dinner was a big hit with all of the students on Da Vinci had a particularly easy time of it as Emma came over to clean their dinner dishes! This was their prize for winning the Trash Art contest at Anegada a few days before. Emma had been particularly impressed with their use of trash to portray the story of how irresponsible divers harming the environment!
Some of the crew headed to bed early while others stayed up a little longer playing cards and hanging out. We are all excited to try catching a turtle tomorrow!
