Charlie 2 Trip Update Day 5 – Luke, Mate
Today was a fun, diving packed day for the Charlie boats! Wake up at 7 a.m. was a little early for the crew but, but well worth it considering the new skills and fun activities that were in store.   Lucas, Jake, and Sara were involved in a underwater photography class today with their instructor Amie. Chad and Jon enjoyed fun diving with the peak performance buoyancy students and the boat diver students. Hannah, skipper of the day, de-moored, sailed, and anchored for the first time ever today at the helm of Venture. After a med-anchoring in gorgeous Little Harbor (anchor the bow, then attach stern lines to shore), both boat’s crews enjoyed a good swim around and then prepared dinner before their long anticipated night dive!  Many different sea creatures that are not as active during the day appear at night, so this was a special treat.   After a long day and good dives the crew settles down for some hot coco and a good rest with a side of some heavy rain and thunder above, roughly 5-6miles away in the distance. The crew decided that tonight was a good night to sleep in their comfortable bunks below decks, instead of getting rained on!
