Tango Trip Update Day 4 – Fray, Program Director

Today, we left The Bight at Norman Island and set sail for Great Harbor on Peter Island. On our sail we worked on our knot tying skills, as well as identifying points of sail. After our lessons we played a hydration game and talked about what we were most looking forward to over the program. Once we got to Great Harbor we did a quick cleaning of the boat and then got in the ski boat for some fun water sports – wakeboarding, waterskiing, and tubing! After our boat was done with water sports, our mate Lily took us on an amazing snorkel along the shoreline of Great Harbor. During the snorkel we were able to see what fire coral looked like, and thankfully not what it felt like! We also saw 24 squid and a large group of Blue Tang fish. After a while we started our dinner prep of Mahi Mahi, rice and broccoli –delicious! Once the boat was cleaned up after dinner we had a boat meeting during which we learned the schedule for tomorrow and talked about our first big day with the YEP (Youth Empowerment Project) group.
