Charlie 1 Trip Update Day 16 – Robb, Captain
Today was Challenge Day Part 2 for the Charlie Fleet on a nice long sail to Anegada. The sail was fantastic with a fresh, steady breeze. Both boats successfully navigated the tricky passage into the mooring field, and a quick taxi ride later and the students were enjoying the white sand beach of Loblolly Bay. After doing a beach clean-up and trash art competition, many kids enjoyed a fabulous snorkel with some of the staff members on the incredible surround reef
Then it was Olympics time! Tough competition came from all the boats with Buoyant Asset winning the first challenge: Tug of War. Next came the Agility Challenge! Harry just beat out Emily from Venture to take the lead in this contest as well! Synchronized swimming followed and Venture’s Jane showed remarkable balance standing on the shoulders of two of her fellow crew. The last challenge was a relay race in full snorkel gear! Collin put Venture into the lead early on and the other boats simply could not catch up. The results of the Olympics will be announced on the last day of the program at the Awards Ceremony. After a great dinner ashore and a marine biology lesson on sharks all the crews headed home for some well deserved rest before another busy day tomorrow!
