Charlie 1 Trip Update Day 11 – Luke, Mate

Today the boats mixed up a bit so different students could participate in different activities.  The Rescue Diver students took a ride to VISAR headquarters, where they spent the day completing an intensive Emergency First Responder course that is required for their next step in SCUBA diving certification.  Because the Rescue Diver course focuses on such skills as self rescuing, buddy rescuing, and stress and emergency management, the EFR course is an important component to the students develop leadership skills underwater.  After this course — which the divers completed with flying colors — it was time to meet the Bravo fleet in Long Bay!  After dinner prep and boat meeting under a rain-filled sky, the Charlie fleet had an early night in preparation of a special 4th of July celebration tomorrow!
