Charlie 1 Trip Update Day 9 – Steff, Captain

Today the groups got their boats prepared in the morning and left Monkey Point soon thereafter.  While on the downwind sail to Sandy Cay the crews had a downwind sail trim lesson from Jeff, and then moored at Sandy Cay for some beach fun.  After a couple hours the fleet moved to Little Harbor, where the crew practiced great silent mooring ball pick-ups.  Here are the crew of Buoyant Asset’s favorite parts of the day!

Austin: My highlight was definitely visiting the beach and just hanging out with everyone.

Josh: The beach was fantastic, and I loved the hike!

Harry: I really enjoyed the challenge of the silent mooring pick up.  I was at the helm, Megan was the threader, Matt was the spotter, Austin the relay, and Athan was the hooker.  After a couple tries, we hooked the mooring perfectly!

Matt: I liked towing Captain Steff ashore from the boat as rescue practice!

Athan: loved hike – there were loads of lizards, hermit crabs, and amazing views!

Megan: The silent mooring ball pick up was my highlight from today!

Annie: I loved the entrance to Sandy Cay – it’s such a beautiful spot!
