Bravo 1 Trip Update Day 10 – Sara, Captain
Bombing along from to Nanny Cay today from Jost Van Dyke, it was hard to imagine a better place to sail than this little group of islands in the Caribbean Sea. A wonderful place to sail already, the waters of the British Virgin Islands really come alive when the wind picks up a little. Laura, Joaquin, and Nick all got on the helm for some serious wind and waves on Vivaldi, and the entire crew enjoyed the fast-paced, high energy sail around Tortola. Joaquin had a fantastic docking today, sticking the tricky entrance o the slip on the first try with no bails! We also passed through our first squall today while sailing: all of Vivaldi worked together with all hands on deck to douse the sails and head into the wind. It was thrilling! We should have known we had a great day ahead of us, as Liz, Joaquin, and Bri went on a surprise tubing adventure after breakfast in the morning rain and saw a rainbow – an omen for a good day!
