Echo 2 Day 1

Posted Sunday, June 10th, 2012 at 12:35 pm

Echo 2 is all here! Alex, Alexis, and Jordan arrived today to join our open water divers. Our OW students went out for another long day of diving.  Harriet, DJ, and Brandon are now officially Open Water certified divers (and Emily will be joining them soon as soon as her ears cooperate for a couple more OW dives).

Meanwhile, Alex spent the afternoon water skiing and wake boarding as he waited for his crew mates to arrive at Hodges Creek.  Alexis joined us after a long day of travel and Jordan made our group complete by 6:00pm.  Our new arrivals soaked in their new surroundings at Hodges creek and everyone got settled aboard Sao Jorge, the Harmony 52 that will be our home for the next two weeks.   The crew all sat down for their first family-style dinner of typical Caribbean fare.  Captain; Dave Craig and Program Director; Claire Marian welcomed the group aboard and  gave students a preview of what the next couple of weeks will look like.  Students wrapped up the night with a game of cards before turning in for an early night. Tomorrow we are bound for the Bitter End Yacht Club for a day of dinghy sailing.
